I'm too big to fail...I mean don't let me fail I'm too big, help.
Fear is more powerful then we think. Up there with laziness and apathy fear is so common and powerful in our lives we often don't see its full influence on us. Not fear of failure, fear of success. Which would be worse for you? Trying and never succeeding or succeeding and then failing?
Asking someone for help is adding resources to the situation. This means you have increased your probability of succeeding but you also included another person in your success or failure. I've heard before that if you want to obligate yourself to doing something? Tell someone else your goal. By involving others it has become serious. When you kick ideas around on your own you don't ever risk success or failure, and no one else knows about it.
I have to believe I'm not alone with these feelings. I have found for myself there is no easy solution. So everyday I have to make an effort to reach out to people not for solicitation of what I want to sell, but what help is needed. So how do I ask for help and get it? I first ask others what I can help with. Knowing if I help others get what they want, I will get what I want. Thanks Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar and countless others for that bit of wisdom. It's a vicious cycle we get caught in. When we starting helping others we get helped and in turn become obligated to continue to help others, until we forget we were just trying to get help ourselves.
Life at times works like dominos, sometimes all you need to do is get the first one moving and the rest just seems to happen.
